Goldie can be a wonderful help with the yardwork and such; she insists, for instance, that we take frequent breaks so as not to tire ourselves out. Sometimes her self-centeredness can work against us, though. She firmly believes that if the UPS folk miss seeing the "Please put it on the screen porch" sign and leave a package on the mudroom doorstep it must be for her.

It wasn't as bad as it looks; the pages were loose, not in a binder, so she didn't have to tear it entirely apart. She just ate the corners off the whole thing and the bottom half of five sheets - pages 261 to 270. We just have to hope nothing on those pages breaks.
