Mark and Goldie and William went to Edisto to check the house we were going to rent and happened by just after the front stairs and landing of another house had collapsed under the weight of people posing for a picture. Hours later ( after the ambulances, police, fire trucks, etc., had left) we drove by and unobtrusively leaned out the window and snapped a photo of the aftermath.
